What is it about Toa Payoh that is drawing in homeowners?

Toa Payoh is a popular residential area that offers a unique blend of urban conveniences and natural beauty. The neighborhood features several green spaces, including Bidadari Park and Toa Payoh Town Park, providing residents with a peaceful environment amidst the bustling city. Its proximity to outdoor destinations like MacRitchie Reservoir Park and the UNESCO-recognized Singapore Botanic Gardens makes it an attractive location for nature. The Toa Payoh Town Park

Toa Payoh Town Park is located directly opposite the HDB HubToa Payoh Bus Interchange and Toa Payoh MRT station. The park has limited parking space, which is only available to patrons of the Chinese restaurant operating inside the park.

The park has no gates and is open to the public at all times. It is equipped with open-concept restrooms, a large pavilion with a stage for organised activities, gazebos,[1] foot reflexology footpaths and a jogging path.

The Chinese restaurant operating inside the park specializes in Taiwan porridge (congee), and is located in a building beside the pond. Near this building is an overhead bridge that connects Toa Payoh Town Park to Jalan Rajah.

New Integrated Development In Toa Payoh – By 2030

By 2030, Toa Payoh will undergo a major transformation through the introduction of a new integrated development. This project aims to enhance community experiences and opportunities by combining sports, healthcare, library, and park facilities. The 12-hectare parcel of land between Lorong 6 Toa Payoh and PIE will be transformed into a bustling lifestyle hub, serving as an extension of the existing Toa Payoh Town Centre. The upcoming development will feature a polyclinic, library, regional sports center, and town park, offering amenities such as a football stadium, swimming pools, indoor sports halls, tennis courts, and fitness studios. Plans also include hosting national training centers for aquatics, netball, and table tennis. The revitalization of Toa Payoh Town Park will bring in more greenery and amenities, promoting a closer connection with nature while retaining its heritage characteristics. Currently, the project is in its public consultation phase, with the government actively seeking feedback from residents on the preliminary design and facilities. This collaborative effort ensures that the development will meet the community's needs and expectations as it nears its completion in 2030.
